what is a webinar?

A webinar is essentially a seminar conducted online – take ‘web’ + ‘seminar’ and you’ve got webinar! Webinars are seminars conducted on the web. To participate in one, all you will need is a computer with an internet connection (preferably not dial up), and either a headset with mic or an inbuilt mic and speaker facilities. If you do not have a computer with built in audio, it is also possible to connect to a webinar via telephone.
